Mick worked as a documentary photographer with the Amber Films Collective in Newcastle before setting up A19 Film & Video in Sunderland, with whom he gained his first TV credits on documentary and drama-documentary for the BBC, ITV and Channel 4. He established A38 Films following a move to the south west and continues to produce and direct documentary and current affairs for network and regional outlets
